An Exclusive Christmas Buffet Experience in Andrummet
This year, we invite you to an atmospheric, sustainable and exclusive Christmas table experience in Andrummet, where Kiruna’s three great cultural rivers – the Sami, Tornedalen and Swedish settlers, are intertwined in a culinary journey. This is the evening for those looking for something out of the ordinary, where each dish tells a story and our knowledgeable chef and service guide you through your experience of both food and drink.
Creative Interpretations
The evening’s chef welcomes you, who together with your knowledgeable service will guide you through the evening. The menu is served as a flowing story, where each dish is a new chapter. The space is set with long tables, perhaps a new acquaintance or business contact can sprout. Like water finding its way through the wilderness, we create creative interpretations of traditional dishes with a subtle taste of Christmas.
Andrummet
The evening begins with a warming mulled wine and amuse bouche in our lobby. Once the entire party has gathered, you will be led through the winter night along a torchlit path to Andrummet, our private dining room for smaller parties, where we will stay for the rest of the evening.

Amuse bouche – Soft gingerbread served with blue cheese cream and home-picked sour lingonberries
Amuse bouche – Swedish “Old man’s mash” on herring, topped with loach roe and roasted gahkku
Swedish wort bread with local Kiruna beer and home-made butter
Artichoke soup on Mackmyra, topped with smoked and dried pork
Smoked rainbow salmon and quail eggs with pea mayonnaise, served with trout roe, mustard seeds and crumbs on Västerbotten cheese
Reindeer meatball on smoked reindeer thigh served with lingonberries, pickled cucumber, cream sauce and almond potato puree
Herb and juniper marinated elk fillet served with stewed kale and almond potato croquette, and game red wine gravy flavoured with smoked blackcurrant and butter-fried mushrooms
Orange ice cream on rice pudding served with candied almonds, raspberry curd, and cinnamon syrup
With the coffee – Butter-fried coffee cheese and warm cloudberries

The dates are 5-6/12 as well as 12-13/12. We gather in the lobby at 6:00 PM. In addition to our drink packages, we keep a small bar open in Andrummet only for the evening’s guests until about 11:00 PM.

Sustainable Food & Drink
Once seated, the dishes are presented by our staff like rafts on a mighty river. This evening, the wine also plays a central role, where we will discuss its background and why it has been chosen to accompany the dishes served. And as always at Camp Ripan, you can trust that we only serve organic or biodynamic wines from vineyards in Europe with a long-term commitment to sustainability. Our meat is always Swedish and sourced locally as far as possible, the same applies to other ingredients.
