Camp Ripan is a modern, innovative experience facility with the magnificent nature of Kiruna just around the corner. We are a family-owned company and we who work here are dedicated to providing our guests with the best that Kiruna has to offer in terms of hospitality, comfort, food, drink, activities, and experiences. We are now looking for someone who, besides enjoying a fun and challenging job, is ready for the majestic mountain world, sparkling northern lights, and fantastic leisure activities.

In the heart of Camp Ripan, you will find our restaurant where we offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as the possibility for larger events. The inspiration comes from the city’s three cultures – Swedish, Sami, and Tornedalian – and it is this that permeates our entire operation. We take great pride in the high level of our food in our restaurant and are therefore looking for a skilled chef who values delivering top quality to our guests.

About the position

As a member of our kitchen team at Camp Ripan, you play a significant role in ensuring that our guests have an extraordinary culinary experience. Here, our tri-cultural region is represented in the form of carefully selected ingredients in exciting flavor combinations. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a driven team, where everyone participates and influences the creative process, from idea to finished product.

Camp Ripan’s kitchen is one of Sweden’s most climate-smart kitchens, where we use the latest technology to minimize our environmental impact. We choose, among other things, Swedish, preferably Northern, meat, utilize the whole animal, buy local berries, choose organic and locally grown where possible, weigh our waste, and are constantly working to minimize our environmental impact in our cooking.

  • Experienced in the industry (at least 6 years of experience, of which 3 years from education and 3 years of work experience from an à la carte restaurant)
  • Meritorious:
  • Knowledge of local food culture and its ingredients, as this is the foundation of our food philosophy

Language skills

Good knowledge of Swedish and English.

Employment

A permanent position with a scope of 80–100%, where working hours are allocated to both weekdays and weekends. Salary by agreement. As a permanent, fixed-term, or probationary employee at Camp Ripan, you have free training (gym, yoga, and other group training) at several different gyms and actors in Kiruna, as well as free swimming at the Swimming Hall. In addition, you also get your share of a padel booking at no cost on our own courts and receive employee discounts on entry to Aurora Spa, food in our restaurant, and goods in our Sportshop.

Accommodation

We have several different staff accommodations, from rooms in a villa to modular houses adjacent to our facility, and can offer rooms subject to availability.
