Healt lecture

When booking a conference with us, we offer a variety of health lectures led by Jana Stridfeldt Bjuhr, our wellness, environmental, and quality coordinator, who is also a certified health advisor, functional medicine health coach, and mindfulness instructor. Each lecture lasts two hours and includes a healthy snack session in the style of No Junk. Besides our conferences, these can be combined with yoga classes in “Andrummet” or any activity at Aurora Spa.

Lifestyle Advice for the Rat Race

A general lecture on health based on the hectic lifestyle we have today and how we can make simple lifestyle changes that will make a big difference to our health. There are usually many fun discussions and many laughs. The lecture takes 2 hours incl. coffee break. The coffee break follows the theme of the lecture and the following topics are addressed:

Food for recovery 

  • Have you loaded your body with the right nutrition?
  • Blood sugar and its effect on health and hormones
  • Does food bring more stress or balance?
  • Food to strengthen gut flora and invigorate the mind
  • Superfoods to protect the body against stress

Exercise for recovery  

  • Finding the ‘right’ level – does your exercise cause more stress or more recovery? 
  • Circadian rhythm – our internal clock. How can we optimize our health based on it?
  • Sleep for recovery – the right amount at the right time

The importance of daily breaks

  • Stress and its impact on your entire hormonal system. 
  • Stress is not dangerous – but the lack of recovery is

Here you will learn more about the gastrointestinal system and how it can affect your physical and mental health. During this lecture we will clear up many questions and you will get a proper basic course in diet and nutrition and how you can easily increase your energy and fat burning, get a stable blood sugar and a better immune system and a happier stomach. This lecture offers many important AHA experiences and provides lots of inspiration to make that dietary change that you can’t quite get started with. Some of these points include
