If you travel about 66 km west of Kiruna to Nikkaluokta, you’ll find one of the most popular entry points to the Kungsleden trail. There, a tourist station offers food, shopping, and lodging during the summer.
About 5.5 km or 1.5 hours from the start, you’ll reach a glacier lake named Láddjujávri, which is easy to access.
During summer, Enoks restaurant offers local delicacies, and you can also enjoy a scenic boat trip across Láddjuvággis delta to the Kebnekaise massif. The boat ride, approximately 6 km long, takes between 20 to 30 minutes.
Tips!
Remember to bring a towel and swimwear if you’re brave enough for a dip in the glacier-cold water. Enoks restaurant is well-known for its reindeer burgers.
Time | Plan for a half-day trip, taking about 3 hours roundtrip. Factor in some extra time at the lake for a meal break and possibly a boat ride.
