Hiking with the autumn colors
Take a memorable hike along the autumn-dressed Midnight Sun Trail. This light hike offers beautiful views of a magnificent mountain landscape. Take a break at one of the picnic areas. If you want to bring with a thermos with coffee/tea, a sandwich and some sweet buns, please contact the front desk and we will be happy to arrange it for you.
The Midnight Sun Trail starts in the low mountain terrain, right next to Camp Ripan, and ends above the tree line on the top of our local mountain Luossavaara where the gorgeous view at the top waits for you.
If you want to take a different route back, follow the other side of the mountain down to the parking area and walk along the quiet road back to Camp Ripan. The hike from Camp Ripan to Luossavaara (which is Kiruna’s very own ski hill) and back again is about five kilometres.
